A Greener Way To Get Around Site
At Mindenhurst, being green means thinking about the environmental consequences of everything we do. We are therefore delighted that our fully electric van has arrived on site. By switching to electricity we’ll be reducing harmful air pollution from exhaust emissions and saving 3,000kg of CO2 over the remaining life of the project. This is the equivalent of half a home’s electricity use over one year!
Our new van will be used by the team on site so hopefully you will spot it around Mindenhurst.
Play Area Now Open
We were delighted that we could open the play area at the village green in line with new government guidance. We hope that this area will be enjoyed by the whole community and that everyone has fun and remains safe. In order to do this we would kindly ask visitors to following the guidance below when using the play equipment:
- Please observe social distancing
- Accompany your child/children
- Sanitise hands before and after
- Put any litter in the bins – if they are full please take the litter home with you
- Do not visit the play area if you have any symptoms – fever, cough, shortness of breath.
If you would like to report any damage to the equipment please do so at hello@mindenhurst.co.uk.
Grass cutting at the Red Road roundabout
Skanska operatives mowed the grass at the Red Road roundabout on 10 June. Unfortunately at the time we were not aware of the one-metre mowing initiative to protect local wildflowers. We apologise to the local community for this error and have offered to donate some wildflower seeds for residents to sow in the area.
At Skanska, we are keen to work in partnership with the local community where possible. Our maintenance responsibility in this location has now finished, and responsibility now sits with Surrey County Council.
Nevertheless, our maintenance teams are being made aware of the one-metre verge initiative for their ongoing work in the county.
Should you need to report an issue, please get in touch at hello@mindenhurst.co.uk.
